  • IIE Andrew Heiskell Awards 2018

    The Institute of International Education (IIE) has announced the winners of the annual IIE Andrew Heiskell Awards for Innovation in International Education. Created in 2001, the Heiskell awards showcase the most innovative and successful models for internationalizing the campus, study abroad, and international partnership programs.

  • Cooperation Agreement - Hungarian Rectors’ Conference and the University of Sao Paulo

    The Hungarian Rectors’ Conference (HRC) and the University of Sao Paulo signed a cooperation agreement on 7 December 2017. Under the terms of the MoU, the parties agreed to assist student and professor mobility, to promote joint research activities and programs, and to foster the organisation of scientific events.

  • CONAHEC - Fall 2018 Short-term Faculty Exchange Call for Proposals

    CONAHEC launches a call for proposals for Fall 2018 Short-term Faculty Exchange. The aim of this programme is to expose students to international faculty members, promote international curricula, promote joint teaching programs, integrate activities with students from universities in different countries, open doors to possibilities for future collaborations. Deadline for participation: March 2, 2018.

  • New organisation in the Norwegian Education Sector

    The Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) and the Norwegian Agency for Digital Learning in Higher Education (Norgesuniversitetet) and the Norwegian Artistic Research Programme (PKU) have merged into one organisation with effect from 1 January 2018. The as yet unnamed new organisation has over 100 employees, and is led by Director General Harald Nybølet.

  • The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) - New Rector

    Professor Rocky S. Tuan, an eminent biomedical scientist has been formally appointed by The Council of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) as the eighth Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK for a period of six years from 1 January 2018. He succeeded to Joseph J.Y. Sung who will continue to serve as Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics at the Faculty of Medicine, CUHK.

  • University of Salamanca - New Rector

    Ricardo Rivero, Professor of Administrative Law at the University of Salamanca (USAL) Law School, took office on December 18, 2017 as the new rector of the University of Salamanca, the oldest University in Spain. He succeded to Professor Daniel Hernández Ruipérez.

  • NUFFIC - FAIR Report

    FAIR project carried out by Nuffic (Dutch organisation for internationalisation in education) and financed by Erasmus+ was conducted during January 2015 to June 2017. FAIR stands for ‘Focus on Automatic Institutional Recognition’. A total of 23 higher education institutions in 6 European countries took part in the project which aims to improve recognition procedures for foreign academic credentials. FAIR report now publicly available includes practical recommendations for European HEI and public agencies.

  • NAFSA National Awards - Call for Nominations

    Nominations are still open for the NAFSA 2018 National Awards. Every year NAFSA honors excellence in international education in many ways and at many levels. Areas of recognition include long-term service to NAFSA and the field, innovation, and collaboration. All members of the association are encouraged to participate in the awards process by submitting their nominations by January 15, 2018. Awards will be presented during the NAFSA 2018 Annual Conference & Expo in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

  • South Asian University (SAU) is looking for eminent scholars

    South Asian University (SAU) is looking for eminent scholars for regular faculty postions in Computer Science, Economics, International Relations, Life Sciences / Biological Sciences and Sociology. Regular non-academic positions of Director (Finance), Deputy Registrar & Assistant Registrar are also open. Deadline for applying: 27 December 2017.

    SAU is an international University (located in New Delhi) focused on post-graduate teaching and research, jointly established and funded by the eight member nations of South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC) viz. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
