Charles University - TAH Impact Academy Summer Courses 2025 in Prague11 April 2025
Charles University, as a founding member of the TAH Centre, is pleased to introduce the TAH Impact Academy’s inaugural summer courses. Taking place in Prague, these professional development opportunities bring together experts from technology, art, and humanities fields to create a genuine transdisciplinary learning environment. Faculty members and researchers from your institution are invited to participate in either "Art-Tech for Higher Education" (July 14-17) or "Future Tech & Social Justice" (August 11-14). AIUB Joins “Responsible Futures International 2024/25”7 April 2025
American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) is proud to announce its participation in Responsible Futures International 2024/25-, an initiative led by Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS-UK), and jointly delivered by the International Association of Universities (IAU). This global program partners students with their institutions to embed sustainability in all aspects of student learning, fostering ethical leadership and sustainable practices in academia.
AIUB is honored to be the first and only university from Asia to join this prestigious program, further solidifying its commitment to sustainability on a global scale.
The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at AIUB played a pivotal role in arranging, coordinating, and facilitating this significant collaboration. Through this partnership, AIUB commits to integrating holistic sustainability and climate justice across its curriculum, aligning with international best practices.
The program commenced in December 2024, providing AIUB with access to a comprehensive framework developed by pilot institutions and sector bodies. This framework assists partnerships in legitimizing and mainstreaming education for sustainable development, supporting transformative changes in teaching, learning, strategies, and policies in collaboration with students.
Since its commencement in 2013, over 39 institutions and students’ unions have participated in Responsible Futures, representing nearly 700,000 students across the UK. The launch of the international pilot has added 6 new universities to the network, reaching over 100,000 students globally.
This partnership underscores AIUB’s commitment to academic excellence, ethical leadership, and environmental responsibility. By engaging in this program, AIUB aims to make transformative changes to its educational practices, ensuring that sustainability and climate justice are integral components of the student experience.

AAU 16th General Conference – Shaping the Future of Higher Education for Innovation and Sustainable Development in Africa31 March 2025
The Association of African Universities (AAU) will hold its 16th Quadrennial General Conference from July 21–25, 2025, in Rabat, Morocco, hosted byMohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) (an IAU member) and Mohammed V University (UM5).
Under the theme “Shaping the Future of Higher Education for Innovation and Sustainable Development in Africa”, the event aims to unite higher education stakeholders — including university leaders, researchers, policymakers, students, and industry partners — to address challenges and explore strategies for sustainable development in line with Africa’s Agenda 2063.
The conference will feature scientific sessions, panel discussions, and exhibitions, all focused on enhancing access to education, fostering innovation, and aligning curricula with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Association of African Universities (AAU), in collaboration with the University of Nottingham (UoN) is organizing a five-day workshop titled: Strategic Financial Planning and Resource Mobilisation to provide a platform for sharing best practices, discussing emerging trends, and building capacity in the financial management of higher education institutions.
The financial management landscape in higher education institutions across Africa is evolving rapidly, driven by the increasing demands for transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
As key financial leaders, Bursars, Accountants, Directors of Finance, and Internal Auditors, together with Registrars, University Administrators, and other strategic leaders, play a pivotal and coordinated role in ensuring the sound and sustainable financial health of their institutions.
This workshop seeks to support these professionals in navigating the dynamic challenges of financial management.
Date: 2nd June – 6th June 2025
Venue: University of Nottingham-Nottingham, UK
Registration Fee: US$2,500 per person, 2-4 persons from the same institution: US$2,300, 5 and above from the same institution: US$2000.

Siam University Strengthens Global Partnerships at APAIE Conference 202528 March 2025
The International Association of Universities (IAU) was proudly represented at the APAIE Conference earlier this week by the Presidents of Siam University and CETYS University.
During the conference, Siam University had the opportunity to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the APAIE host, and also IAU Member O.P. Jindal Global University, further strengthening global collaboration in higher education.Additionally, Pornchai Mongkhonvanit, President of Siam University, former IAU Board Member, and Cluster Lead, participated in a panel discussion on Internationalization and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) alongside IAU Board Member Fernando León-García, President of CETYS University.
