Organized by UNODC under the GRACE Initiative, the 5th Anti-Corruption Academic Symposium invites academics, practitioners, policymakers, civil society, and youth to submit papers on the responsible and effective use of AI in the fight against corruption, under the theme “Challenges and Opportunities for the Use of AI in Anti-Corruption Efforts”, taking place on 13–14 December 2025 in Doha, Qatar.
Topics include (but are not limited to):
● Predictive analytics for corruption risk in procurement, political finance, or service
delivery
● Use of satellite and geospatial data to detect irregularities linked to corruption
● Auditing, evaluation and impact assessment of AI in anti-corruption
● Grassroots and civil society uses of AI (e.g., bots, platforms, crowdsourcing) in anticorruption
● Data availability, quality, and interoperability for AI anti-corruption systems
● Ethical, legal, and governance implications of AI in anti-corruption
● Comparative case studies of AI successes and failures in anti-corruption
Deadlines:
Abstract submission: 21 September 2025
Notification of acceptance: 15 October 2025
