University World News is an online global higher education publication, which provides in-depth, independent news and commentary on higher education and research worldwide. IAU is an official partner of the UWN SDGs Hub.

University World News set up its SDGs Hub to gather reports and commentaries on higher education’s contribution to achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, share best practice and publicise related opportunities and events.

The hub provides in-depth reporting on higher education responses to, and impact on, each of the individual SDGs, as well as access to information on SDG-related higher education events, webinars and other activities.

It includes a series of special reports on Education for Sustainable Development and a series on universities as Changemakers, reshaping their mission and working across their whole institution towards achievement of the SDGs.

It also has a section of latest news on universities’ contributions to 10 particular Global Challenges covering all the SDGs, such as ‘Climate Action’, ‘Quality Education’, ‘Reducing Inequality’ and ‘Employment and Industry’.

Over time University World News aims to develop the hub into a high-quality and valuable resource for higher education institutions seeking to tackle global and local challenges in support of societal transformation and planetary health.
