SOS-UK is a UK-based charity with international activities set up by the National Union of Students in 2019 in response to the climate emergency and ecological crisis. It supports students to learn, act and lead for sustainability and works across the UK to green campuses, curricula and communities. IAU and SOS signed an MOU to jointly advance Sustainable Development at the student level.
More recently, IAU and SOS joined forces for the first international pilot of the They jointly plan on piloting a “Responsible Futures Programme, a facilitated sustainability learning programme supporting institutions to take a whole-institution approach to embedding social responsibility and sustainability across their activities. The pilot started in October 2023 with 7 universities from different parts of the world (see also here).
