Call for proposals

Framed by the Conference concept note, IAU is pleased to open a call for proposals to identify excellent speakers from different regions of the world that can contribute to the important conversations during breakout sessions of the General Conference programme.
Please select the topic you wish to address and provide a succinct abstract along with your bio-note in the submission form:

1. Responding to local needs in a globalized world: compatible or competing objectives?
2. Skills, competences and knowledge for unwritten futures: where do we go from here?
3. From science to society: how to reach out beyond the academic circle and unlock the sciences?
4. How to foster a culture of democracy and human rights in the curriculum?
5. How to build bridges in a world of increasing inequalities between higher education systems?

Retained authors will receive complimentary access to the General Conference. However, they are responsible for travel, accommodation and other related costs. The General Conference is an in-person event, and remote presentations will not form part of the programme. Please refer to the IAU Future of Higher Education Webinar Series if you wish to propose a remote presentation.

Deadline 15 April

We are no longer accepting proposals.
