The European Women Rectors Association (EWORA) is pleased to announce its 2025 conference, focused on the ongoing challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality in higher education. The event will take place on 26–27 June 2025 at Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), Lisbon, Portugal.
This year’s theme, “Gender Equality in the Academy is Fragile: Is Values-Led Leadership the Answer?”, will explore the need for leadership that is rooted in values, especially in the context of advancing gender equality within academic institutions.
The two-day event will feature dynamic discussions with esteemed speakers, including leaders in academia, policy, and gender equality. The conference will cover a range of topics, including values-led leadership strategies, policies for promoting gender equality, the importance of fostering inclusive environments, and AI as a cross-cutting issue in universities and research organizations.
