Moi University (Kenya) - 11th International Conference


Moi University will be organising their 11th International Conference from 13-17th September 2016, at Margaret Thatcher Library, Moi University, main campus. The theme for this year is: "Aligning training, research and service to sustanaible development goals", different themes and sub-themes will be adressed such as topics related to health research, social wellbeing, business models innovations, gender and environment. More


Regent's University London - International Partners' Conference 2017


The Regent's University London in partnership with The Observatory on Bordeless Higher Education will be hosting the 7th edition of International Partners' Conference that will take place from 10th to 13th January 2017 under the theme: Intercultural Education: Global Citizenship in Changing World Scenarios. This event will be a platform for leading figures in the higher education sector as well as guests from the business community to discuss issues linked to international higher education. More


Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Spain) - the European Leadership School


The UOC organizes the European Leadership School in Barcelona, 14-18 November 2016. It is aimed at heads and directors of European higher education institutions – presidents, rectors, vice presidents, deans of faculty and directors of units – who are interested in learning, sharing and developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes required for correct decision-making regarding the uses of digital technologies in e-learning, distance learning, MOOCs, and educational digital transformation in teaching and learning in the classroom and online.


University of Antonio Nariño (Colombia) - Latin America Universities Summit


The Time Higher Education and the University of Antonio Nariño invite you to attend the first Latin America Universities Summit that they are organizing from 6 to 8 July 2016 at the Hotel Bogota Plaza in Bogota, Colombia. More than 200 attendees from the academic communities, specialized educational press, Ministry of Education representatives, Latin American Accrediting Agencies and Research Institutes will be present. Different issues will be addressed such as:

  • Sustainable expansion: transitioning from an élite to a mass system

  • Internationalisation in the Latin American context: global networks as drivers of world-class higher education.

Ara Institute of Canterbury (New Zealand) - New Institution


IAU is pleased to report that our member Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology (CPIT) merged with Aoraki Polytechnic to form the new institution : Ara Institute of Canterbury. It presents itself as “a vibrant, progressive, government-funded tertiary institute providing world-class, tertiary-level education throughout the Canterbury and Waitaki region. Ara was created in 2016 when CPIT and Aoraki Polytechnic merged, bringing together two well-established organisations and over 200 years of collective experience and success. Ara is the Māori word for path or journey. It represents the learning process, the many pathways to success, and the routes and rivers that criss-cross the Canterbury Plains from the mountains to the sea.”


Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (Lebanon) – Colloquium


The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) in collaboration with the National Commission for Unesco, is organizing a colloquium and an educational day on “The Role of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Preservation of Cultural Diversity and Promotion of the Spirit of Citizenship and Sustainable Development” within the framework of the project “Protection and Consolidation of Lebanon’s Instangible Cultural Heritage”. This colloquium, hosted by the Department of Social Sciences at the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities, will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at the USEK Campus. On Thursday, November 17, 2016, an educational day for schools that participated in the project, will be held at the Unesco Palace, Beirut. More

The Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (FPSE) of the University of Geneva calls for applications for the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in International Education and Research. This training programme based on both research and practice covers two major complementary areas: International cooperation in education and intercultural education. Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Spain) - The University of the Future


The findings from the University of the Future project, which took took place within the framework of the UOC International Research Week, 18-22 April, 2016 and in collaboration with around fifty international experts, including from MIT, Boston, outlines the shape of higher education beyond 2020 are now available here.
