The University of Tokyo (Japan) - 2017 Scholarship Programs


The School of Science at the University of Tokyo, Japan launches a call for application to the following study abroad programs:

GLOBAL SCIENCE GRADUATE COURSE (GSGC) : An international graduate program that allows students to obtain their degrees in English. This program welcomes excellent graduates from universities all over the world. Deadline for application : January 10, 2017. More

GLOBAL SCIENCE COURSE (GSC) : The Global Science Course (GSC) is a new undergraduate 2 year-long transfer program. It was designed to enhance cross-cultural interactions among young minds from around the world coming together to learn science. All GSC classes are conducted in English by world-leading professors who are pursuing cutting-edge research in the most advanced fields.

Furthermore, successful applicants to this program are rewarded with a generous scholarship. This includes 150,000 Japanese yen per month to aid in paying tuition fees and support living expenses. It additionally includes fully supported rent.

The application period for GSC Fall 2017 is from January 10 - April 7, 2017. More


European University Association (EUA) - EUA Annual Conference 2017


The European University Association (EUA) launches a call for participation to their 2017 Annual conference on "Autonomy and freedom: The future sustainability of universities" which will take place at the University of Bergen on 6-7 April 2017. The conference will be a timely occasion to discuss how university autonomy is linked to adressing political, economic and societal challenges in Europe. Deadline for early registration fee is 28 February 2017. More


Al-Quds Open University (Palestine) - International Conference on Smart Learning


The Continuing Education Center and Open Education Center at Al-Quds Open University has launched a call for participation in the 1st International Conference on Smart Learning for Community Development that they will be organising on March 20, 2017. The two core aims of the conference are:

  • To exchange knowledge and experience in Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) process among participants.
  • To adress the challenges that HEI's face under complicated sociopolitical and economic situations and to propose Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) strategies to resolve these challenges.

The deadline for abstract submission is: 15 December 2016. More


Durban University of Technology (South Africa) – New Vice-Chancellor


Professor Thandwa Mthembu took function as Vice-Chancellor and Principal at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) on 01 October 2016. Prior to that, he was Vice-Chancellor and Principal at the Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) since 2007. Prof Mthembu holds a PhD in Mathematics and has published mathematics papers in international journals. He succeeded to Dr John Volmink whose five month acting term as DUT Vice-Chancellor and Principal expired on Friday, 30 September 2016. More


Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México (UNAM) - Cultural Diversity and Inter-culturality - PUIC 2017


Within the framework of their University Programme of Studies in Cultural Diversity and Inter-culturality (PUIC), Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México (UNAM) is offering scholarships for Indigenous and Afro-Mexicans students. Deadline for application: 2 December 2016. More


VIT University (India) - 3rd QS Summer School Summit

University of Ghana - New Governing Council


The University of Ghana has a new governing Council, composed of 28 personalities which will be responsible for the governance and implementation of the 2014 – 2024 Strategic Plan of the University. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, assured the Council members of his commitment to collaborate and work effectively with them toward achieving the vision of the University of Ghana to become a world-class research intensive university over the next decade. More


Moi University (Kenya) - 11th International Conference


Moi University will be organising their 11th International Conference from 13-17th September 2016, at Margaret Thatcher Library, Moi University, main campus. The theme for this year is: "Aligning training, research and service to sustanaible development goals", different themes and sub-themes will be adressed such as topics related to health research, social wellbeing, business models innovations, gender and environment. Regent's University London - International Partners' Conference 2017


The Regent's University London in partnership with The Observatory on Bordeless Higher Education will be hosting the 7th edition of International Partners' Conference that will take place from 10th to 13th January 2017 under the theme: Intercultural Education: Global Citizenship in Changing World Scenarios. This event will be a platform for leading figures in the higher education sector as well as guests from the business community to discuss issues linked to international higher education. More
