Third Trimester Field Practical Programme, University for Development Studies in Ghana


The University for Development Studies in Ghana is currently accepting applications from International Students for the Third Trimester Field Practical Programme. The programme is a key component of the overall objective of the Univeristy to "blend the academic world with that of the community in order to provide constructive interaction between the two for the total development of Northern Ghana in particular and the country as a whole”.

Dr Joanna Newman appointed Secretary General of the Association of Commonwealth Universities


The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) is pleased to announce that Dr Joanna Newman has been appointed as the next Secretary General of the organisation. Dr Joanna Newman, currently Vice-Principal (International) of King's College London, UK, will take up the post on 3 April 2017. She succeeds Professor John Wood in the role.


University of Sadat City- 4th International Conference on Environmental Studies and Research


Under the auspices of the University of Sadat City, the Fourth International Conference on Environmental Studies and Research (ICESR 4), will address the theme "Smart Sustainable Environment". It will take place from 27 to 29 March 2017 in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.

South Asian University is looking for eminent scholars


South Asian University (SAU) is looking for eminent scholars for the positions of Professor in Computer Science, Legal Studies, Life Sciences & Biotechnology and International Relations.

Positions are open to citizens preferably from SAARC countries, other than India. However candidates from other countries can also apply. The application deadline is 6 February 2017. For more information, click here.

Technological Educational Institute of Athens (Greece) will organise a three days international meeting from 27th to 29th March 2017, under the title “International Days for Higher Education, Cosmopolitanism and Solidarity” and launches a call for papers. The University of Tokyo (Japan) - 2017 Scholarship Programs


The School of Science at the University of Tokyo, Japan launches a call for application to the following study abroad programs:

GLOBAL SCIENCE GRADUATE COURSE (GSGC) : An international graduate program that allows students to obtain their degrees in English. This program welcomes excellent graduates from universities all over the world. Deadline for application : January 10, 2017. More

GLOBAL SCIENCE COURSE (GSC) : The Global Science Course (GSC) is a new undergraduate 2 year-long transfer program. It was designed to enhance cross-cultural interactions among young minds from around the world coming together to learn science. All GSC classes are conducted in English by world-leading professors who are pursuing cutting-edge research in the most advanced fields.

Furthermore, successful applicants to this program are rewarded with a generous scholarship. This includes 150,000 Japanese yen per month to aid in paying tuition fees and support living expenses. It additionally includes fully supported rent.

The application period for GSC Fall 2017 is from January 10 - April 7, 2017. More


European University Association (EUA) - EUA Annual Conference 2017


The European University Association (EUA) launches a call for participation to their 2017 Annual conference on "Autonomy and freedom: The future sustainability of universities" which will take place at the University of Bergen on 6-7 April 2017. The conference will be a timely occasion to discuss how university autonomy is linked to adressing political, economic and societal challenges in Europe. Deadline for early registration fee is 28 February 2017. More


Al-Quds Open University (Palestine) - International Conference on Smart Learning


The Continuing Education Center and Open Education Center at Al-Quds Open University has launched a call for participation in the 1st International Conference on Smart Learning for Community Development that they will be organising on March 20, 2017. The two core aims of the conference are:

  • To exchange knowledge and experience in Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) process among participants.
  • To adress the challenges that HEI's face under complicated sociopolitical and economic situations and to propose Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) strategies to resolve these challenges.
